May Yoon is a former Chief People Officer with experience in high growth start ups to large global multinational corporations. May has interviewed over a thousand candidates and knows firsthand what it takes to stand out and make a lasting impression. Her expertise in hiring and talent development allows her to provide strategic and personalized coaching for students to navigate high-stakes interviews with ease.
Having personally navigated competitive application processes for college, graduate programs and professional roles in Investment Banking and Management Consulting, May understands the challenges students face and how to position them for success.
Passionate about mentorship and personal growth, May empowers students to develop their confidence and communication skills to articulate their strengths with clarity and authenticity.
May is a proud mom of three and a certified coach in breathwork and holistic wellness.

After successful careers in Business Development, Hedge Fund Recruiting and Sales, Phyllis decided to launch SpeakWrite with May Yoon as she could see the incredible need for specialized assistance with admissions essay writing and interviews.
Through her own family's experience along with providing assistance to numerous friends/colleagues with private school admissions, she realized how time consuming and overwhelming the process can be. Families and applicants would often fizzle out by the time they arrived at the most crucial leg of the whole process - the essays and interviews. The result was often disappointing - not because of a lack of effort or accomplishments but because applicants were simply not properly prepared. These are very specific skills that are not widely taught, learned and practiced.
